Biographical History

Juliaetta Bateman Jensen (1878-1952) was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an author in Utah.

Juliaetta Bateman was born on December 31, 1878 in West Jordan, Utah. She studied to become a teacher at the University of Utah and taught for a time in Midvale, Utah. In 1904 she married Christen Jensen in the Salt Lake Temple. They then moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts, while her husband attended Harvard University.

She then moved to Provo, Utah so that her husband could take a position at Brigham Young University. In the following years, Juliaetta completed a bachelor's and master's degree in literature. She then taught at the school, and became a published author.

Juliaetta Bateman Jensen passed away on January 21, 1952 in Provo, Utah.
