Biographical History

Melvin Myron Harmon (1861-1938) was a student at Brigham Young Academy.

Melvin Myron Harmon was born on April 11, 1861 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Nehemiah Harmon and Eunice Chidester. He attended Brigham Young Academy in Provo, Utah. After graduation he moved to Saint George, Utah, where he married Alice Cannon Woodbury in 1891. They had nine children.

In Saint George, Harmon worked as an office clerk. In 1905 he left to serve a mission in Hawaii for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. By 1910 he had taken up farming, which continuing to serve in the Church. He died in Saint George on April 12, 1938.
