Biography

Mitt Romney (1947-) is a prominent American businessman politician.

Willard Mitt Romney was born March 12, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan. In 1984, he founded the investment firm Bain Capital. He ran for United States senator in Massachusetts in 1994 but lost the election to Edward Kennedy. Romney was president and CEO of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee responsible for the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City. Romney ran for Massachusetts governor, and was elected in 2003, serving until 2007. In 2012, Romney was a United States presidential candidate. In 2019, Romney became a United States senator representing Utah. He and his wife Ann have five sons.
