Photocopies of handwritten letters. All of the items were written to Goodwin's sister, Alice. Goodwin wrote these letters while in Confederate service in Virginia and Tennesee. Goodwin tells about burying a friend, rumors, army life, and mentions the battle of Corinth and Sharpsburg (Antietam).
