Martha Bryant Allen (b. approximately 1859) was a former slave in North Carolina.

Martha Bryant Allen was born in approximately 1859 to parents Andrew Bryant and Harriet in Craven County, North Carolina. She lived in both Cedar Falls and Durham, North Carolina during her lifetime. Allen was a former slave of "Gaskin", and had at least three siblings: John Franklin, Alfred, and Andrew. She lived until at least June 7, 1937.

Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typescript of an interview. Allen was interviewed by Mary A. Hicks on June 7, 1937 as part of a Federal Writer's Project assignment for the Works Progress Administration. The item includes handwritten corrections. Allen talks about her mixed-ethnic background, how hard the slave women had to work, the "carpet gitters" who pursued slave women, and the Ku Klux Klan.
