Biography

Lorena Bach (1907-2002) was a photographer.

Lorena Bach was born on October 31, 1907 in South Bend, Texas. Her family moved to Wisconsin where she was raised. She married Marcus L. Bach on August 19, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. She received a degree in nutrition from UCLA but her biggest passion was photography. She traveled the world photographing various cultures.

She passed away on September 29, 2002 in Los Angeles, California.

Collection contains many small booklets describing the life and works of Marcus L. and Lorena Bach. Includes correspondence about Bach's literary works between coworkers and acquaintainces. Some literary works are also included. A packet from a memorial service honoring the Bachs can also be found in the collection. Materials are dated 1989-2003.
