Collection includes a handwritten diary, letters, and miscellaneous items. The bulk of the diary was written from 1891 to 1893 prior to her marriage. The entries are lengthy and often introspective. The volume includes some later entries from 1932 to 1933 and some notes from 1980 in another hand. Also included is miscellaneous correspondence relating to business and family matters from 1932 and 1933.

Five holograph letters plus typescripts of each. All of the letters were written to the family of Jennetta Richards (d. 1845) in England. Three are by Jennetta and were composed in Nauvoo, Illinois. They are largely concerned with family matters. One dated 8 July 1844 tells of the assassination of the Mormon Prophet, Joseph Smith (1805-1844).

Scope and Contents Papers of S. LeRoy Richards and his extended family. Contains Richard's diary, autograph book, an autobiography, and a map of Tennessee, where Richards was assigned as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as part of the Southern States Mission from 1902 to 1905. Also contains family histories, patriarchal blessings, and other papers related to the Staley, Huffman, and Rhead families, all of which are related to LeRoy's wife, Hannah Rhead. Materials dated...

Typescripts of letters, legal documents, diary entries, and miscellaneous items. The materials relate to the Richards family, including Willard Richards who served as an apostle in the Mormon Church. The items deal largely with family and Mormon Church matters including the missions of Willard and Levi Richards to England.
