One is a biography of Niels Hansen and Karen Marie Hansen by their daughter Norma Hansen Decker, another is an autobiography by Ernest John Broberg, and the last item consists of family records collected by John Broberg and Niels M. Hansen. Decker talks about her parents' conversion to the Mormon Church in Denmark, their journey from Denmark on the vessel "Emerald Isle" to America, their settling in Utah, their experiences with Indians, and their lifelong...

Scope and Contents
Collection contains two photocopies of Jens Hansen's diary from 1886, which includes an account of his trial and experience in the territorial penitentiary. Diary is written in parallel versions, one a narrative account and the other a series of daily entries. Also includes copies of autograph book entries written by Hansen during his stay. His entries describe conditions and activities in the prison, and his relationship with his family.
