Scope and Contents
This collection contains separate transcribed copies of the "Carpenter Family." The first document, by J. Hatten Carpenter, describes the origin of the last name "Carpenter." The author begins the family history starting in 1200 in France and England. He then continues with the ancestry of the Carpenter family, who emigrated from England to the United States. The second copy is a sketch biography of Margarett McCullough. The sketch contains a transcript of Erastus Snow Carpenter's letter...
