National Broadcasting Company (NBC) is an American television broadcasting network. Established as a radio broadcaster in 1926, NBC began television broadcasts in 1938.

Contains recordings of the Screen Director's Playhouse radio program which ran from January 1949 through September 1951 on the NBC radio network. The programs were adaptations of noted motion pictures. The film directors served as guest hosts and spoke briefly about the program. Principal cast members of the motion pictures reprised their roles in the radio programs.
