Scope and Contents Photograph by Carter from 1892 containing images taken during the construction of the Salt Lake Tabernacle and the Salt Lake Temple, with the dates of the pictures. It also contains portraits of Brigham Young, John Taylor, and Wilford Woodruff and some short quotes about the construction of the Tabernacle and the Temple.

Scope and Contents The item is a photograph of the Salt Lake Temple. The photograph was taken between the laying of the capstone in April 1892 and the dedication in April 1893. A part of the Salt Lake Tabernacle is barely visible on the left side of the photograph. Trees surround the Temple, but the gardens have not yet been planted. Two ladders and a man can be seen on the west spires.
