The Deseret News (1850- ) is a newspaper published in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The first edition of the Deseret News was published on June 15, 1850, on a $60 printing press which had traveled 1100 miles to Salt Lake City. It began as a weekly paper, focusing on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as well as some national news. Today, it is still a widely read source of news and information as well as the official organ of the Church.

The document verifies the prices paid for the services. The audit was signed by Benjamin Allen, William I. Appleby, and James McKnight.
