Tau Sigma (approximately 1915-1990) was a fraternity and social club at Brigham Young University.
Tau Sigma was a fraternity established at Brigham Young University in 1915 and dissolved in the early 1990s. Originally, the fraternity was almost exclusively comprised of student athletes; however, in later years the fraternity came to represent the broader student body. The fraternity briefly changed its name to Tausig during the later 1920s. Eventually all Brigham Young University fraternities and sororities were banned on campus grounds, leading to their dissolution or forcing them off campus.

Scope and Contents
Includes paddle used during Hansen's initiation into the Tausig (Tau Sigma) social unit at Brigham Young University. Contains several signatures of active members, gathered by Hansen as a pledge (prospective member). Also includes Hansen's Tausig membership certificate, January 9, 1848, and membership cards for Tau Sigma, Phi Alpha Theta, and Intercollegiate Knights.
