The Department of Child Development and Family Relationships (1966-1982) was an instructional unit at Brigham Young University.
The Department of Child Development and Family Relationships was formed in 1966 in a reorganization of the earlier Department of Family Life Education, and was part of the College of Family Living. Department chairs included Duane M. Laws (1966-1970), J. Joel Moss (1970-1980), and D. Eugene Mead (1980-1982). In 1981 the department moved to the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences, and the following year was divided and merged into the Department of Family Sciences and the Family Living Center.
