Administrative History

The Communicative Disorders Clinic (1966-1980) was a treatment and training facility at Brigham Young University. The clinic treated students and community members with communication issues, and provided students clinical experience.

The Communicative Disorders Clinic, also known as the Communicative Habilitation Center and the Alonzo J. Morley Communicative Habilitation Center, was established in 1966 in a reorganization of the earlier Speech Clinic. The clinic was associated with the Department of Speech from 1966 to 1968, then with the Department of Speech and Dramatic Arts from 1968 to 1975. The clinic also cooperated with the Department of Education. In 1980 the clinic was merged into the newly established Comprehensive Clinic.
