Biography

The Dione Lucas Society was a non-profit incorporated private association. The Society would hold regular lectures and demonstrations by Mrs. Lucas and other famous chefs. Meals and courses were held at The Egg Basket, which was owned by Dione Lucas. There were plans for an official publication, tentatively known as FOOD that inlcuded monthly recipe exchanges bewtween the Society members.

Contains research and schoolwork by Eugene Francis Heil during his time as a student at Parson's School of Design. Includes his research on musical instruments, the Dione Lucas Society, a script for the Manhattan 2nd Ward, and the community of Catalonia. Materials are dated 1949-1968.
