The Teacher Certification Office (1957-1978) was an office in the College of Education that provided academic advising to Brigham Young University students seeking teaching certification.
The Teacher Certification Office provided academic advising to Brigham Young University students seeking professional teaching certifications related to their degrees. The office was in the College of Education and required students to work with an advisor to progress through a certification program. The office reviewed applications, letters, evaluations, and transcripts, and endorsed students for certification to the Utah State Board of Education. The office was active from 1957 to 1978, at which point it became known as the Education Advisement and Certification Office.
