Administrative history

Utah Association of Women (1977-1997) was an organization that promoted women's education and involvement in political and civic events. The group was founded by Nina Watkins Parker in an informal caucus in her living room and she was the first president of the association. Palmer worked to gain consultative status for the UAW by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. The name was changed in 1997 to Worldwide Organization for Women.
