The Department of Homemaking Education (1955-1964) was an instructional unit at Brigham Young University. The department was responsible for training students as secondary home economics teachers. The department replaced the earlier Department of Home Economics. In 1964, the department became a program under the Department of Family Life Education.
Department chairs included Marion C. Pfund (1955-1956) and Virginia Poulson (1956-1964).
