Administrative History
Academic Advisement was an administrative unit with responsibility for student educational counseling at Brigham Young University.
Academic Advisement at Brigham Young University combines the benefits of College Advisement Centers and integrates other academic services including the use of the AIM system, Advisement by Computer (ABC) report, and faculty advising to give direction and support to each student's academic progress. These resources are specifically geared toward addressing specific academic needs and contribute to the quality of each student's overall university experience. This department was changed to Student Academic and Advisement Services in 2001.
