Administrative History

The Taylor Brothers Company was founded when George Taylor Sr., opened a store in 1866 on Provo Utah's Center Street. The store eventually began selling furniture and other housing needs, and was incorporated in 1890, becoming Provo's first department store. The company was involved in multiple legal disputes with Taylor's Inc., a Utah corporation formed in 1947.
