Biography
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Provo 3rd Ward (est. 1852) was an ecclesiastical unit of the Church in Provo, Utah.
Provo 3rd Ward was established by Brigham Young on March 19, 1851 as part of the newly formed Utah Stake. Elias Hicks Blackburn was bishop. Provo Ward was divided into five separate wards in August 1852. On February 19, 1939 the Utah Stake was divided resulting in two stakes for Provo: the Utah Stake and the Provo Stake; the Utah Stake included the Second, Third, Fourth, Sixth, and Pioneer Wards.

Also includes a record of the families living in Provo in other records of church membership and activity in the wards in Provo in the early 1850s. Also includes a patriarchal blessing for Elizabeth Blackburn, given by Emer Harris in 1854. Also “A Family Record of Elias Hicks Blackburn...” Dated 1851-1879.
