Administrative History
The Academic Support Committee (active 1978-1992) was an administrative coordination body at Brigham Young University.
The Academic Support Committee was organized in the fall of 1978 with Chauncey C. Riddle. Assistant Academic Vice President, as chairman. The committee is composed of administrators of the various campus support service divisions which provided direct technical and personal assistance to academic programs. Representatives came from Learning Services, David O. McKay Institute, Library, Media Services, and Student Life. The committee met regularly to correlate and consider improvements to their services to the campus community.
