Biography

The Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center (est. 1964) functions as the main student activity center on the Brigham Young University campus and houses several campus organization offices, food service facilities, and the Brigham Young University bookstore.

Directors of the Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center include Lyle Curtis (1964-1979), F. Curtis Wynder (1976-1978), Robert H. Moss (1978-1986) and Jerry Bishop (1996-2002). Up until 2002, the director of the Wilkinson Center was responsible to the Dean of Students for the Student Activity Program and Central Scheduling, and to the vice-president of business affairs for the operation of the Center. In 2002, the Dean of Students assumed the role as Director of the Wilkinson Center.

The Ernest L. Wilkinson Center is the hearthstone of the campus community, where students may relax and participate in out-of-class activities that foster personal enjoyment and growth. The center is the home for: the Brigham Young University Bookstore, Brigham Young University Barbershop and Salon, Brigham Young University Games Center, BYUSA, Campus Craft and Floral, Campus Scheduling, Catering Banquet Information, Center for Conflict Resolution, Center for Service and Learning, Computer Lab, Cougar Creations, Cougareat, Counseling and Career Center, Custodial Services, Dean of Students- Campus Life, Faculty Center, Guest Services, Honor Code Office, ID Center, Information Center, International Services, Jamba Juice, Lost and Found, Multicultural Students Services, Off-Campus Housing, Outdoors Unlimited, Post Office, University Station, Scheduling Office, Signature Card/ID Center, Skyroom Restaurant, Student Employment, Student Honor Association, Student Leadership, University Accessibility Center, WSC Support Services, and Women's Services and Resources.
