Biography
The Illinois Chicago South Mission (1980-1983, 1997-2010) was a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that was created from the divsion of the Illinois Chicago Mission, then recombined with the Illinois Chicago North mission into the Illinois Chicago Mission twice.
The Illinois Chicago South Mission was created on July 1st 1980 alongside the Illinois Chicago North Mission from the division of the Illinois Chicago Mission. It is a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The first mission leaders of the south mission were President Charles E Peterson and his wife Harriet May Robison Peterson. This and the north mission were both consolidated on July 1st 1983 back into the Illinois Chicago Mission, but the mission was split again back into the north and south missions with the same names as before on July 1st 1997. The first mission president after the second split was Dallas H Bradford. The mission ended on July 1st 2010 when both missions were merged back together. The final mission president of the Illinois Chicago South Mission in 2010 was President Richard B. Roach.
