Biography

The Crane Maternity Home was a medical facility located in Provo, Utah.

The home was opened in 1926 by Elizabeth Ann Crane, soon after the death of her husband. The original location was Mrs. Crane's home on 470 East 300 South in Provo. By 1929 she had moved the facility to 382 South University Ave. The home closed in 1939, around the time that the Provo General Hospital opened.

Contains handwritten entries in a record book. The item lists the names of patients, their home addresses, doctors, and dates of entry and release. Also included are lists of dates and times of birth and the sex of the babies.
