Administrative History

The Department of Civil Engineering was originally founded in 1957, and was known as the Department of Civil Engineering Science until 1977. In 1994 it was renamed the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The department was responsible for instructing students in basic aspects of civil and structural engineering. The department offered bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.

Scope and Contents

Contains three reels of audio recordings from lectures given at Brigham Young University. Lectures deal with water supplies and policies in the West, as well as issues of western public lands. Recordings were made between 1984 and 1985.
