Administrative History

The Brigham Young University 2nd Ward (1956-2011) was an ecclesiastical unit of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Provo, Utah. The ward provided religious services for students attending the university.

The Brigham Young University 2nd Ward was established on January 8, 1956 by the Church of Jesus Christ in a reorganization of Church units for university students. The ward covered a part of the geographical area for which the North Campus Branch was previously responsible. The ward was originally part of the Brigham Young University Stake, but as the student body grew it was moved to be part of the BYU 2nd Stake, the BYU 9th Stake, and the BYU 16th Stake at different times. In 2011 the ward was dissolved as part of a larger reorganization of student wards within the Church.

Bishops of the Brigham Young University 2nd Ward included Charles M. Taylor, Chauncey Riddle, Martin Leroy Miller, H. Donl Peterson, and Sherman Livingston Cloward.
